Samuel and Sarah first met at a summer camp when they were teenagers and kept in touch by writing letters for a couple of years. Like all tragic love stories, when Samuel's family moved, the letters stopped coming. For almost a decade, both Samuel and Sarah considered each other the “one that got away,” but it wasn’t until they were both in their twenties that they finally reconnected, fell in love, and got married.
Samuel and Sarah genuinely enjoy time together and find that all their pursuits are made better with the company of the other. Samuel, who had been running S&S Wedding Films (formerly KightCreative) long before he reconnected with Sarah, first brought Sarah along to film a wedding with him while they were engaged. He was surprised at how quickly she caught on and was even more surprised that many of her shots made it into the final film. He later told Sarah it was the best wedding film he had ever made because of her. Samuel and Sarah now run S&S Wedding Films as an unstoppable duo.

Samuel is the mastermind behind S&S Wedding Films. Samuel first became interested in film during high school, but it wasn’t until 2020 that he began seriously learning the craft. Samuel’s approach to learning is diving headfirst and learning everything he possibly can. It isn’t enough for Samuel to have average skills; his goal is to become an expert to outcompete all competition. After just a few years of obsessively learning and practicing, Samuel has a knack for filming that looks like the product of decades of practice. You won’t meet anyone with such a high standard of perfection who will work 14-hour days, go with out food and sleep, and sprint across your wedding venue to make sure every moment is captured to create the wedding film you only dreamed was possible.

Sarah is Samuel’s better half and grounds Samuel in his ambitious dreaming. While Sarah can’t envision the story like Samuel, Sarah knows how to come alongside Samuel and run with any idea he has. Her ability to connect with people makes her personable and approachable, giving people space to open up about their love stories and allowing their unfiltered personalities to shine through the films. Discerning and observant, Sarah helps Samuel see the obstacles to his visionary plans and helps create solutions to make them possible.
